Dear Chocolate, I love you. Love, Me.

I have a become a true chocolate connoisseur. It’s gotten significantly out of hand. White, dark, milk, salted, chili filled, wasabi sprinkled, cheap, expensive… you name it. I’ve eaten it. And then eaten it some more. Problem. I have found some of the more random flavor combinations to be really fun. Chocolate with bacon being my favorite. Whatever the combination, or form for that matter, it makes me happy every single time without fail. Far more reliable then any man it never lets you down. These are some of my favorites…

I must point out that you have left out three SUPREME chocolate bars – one a recent find and another a classic.

    1) Trader Joe’s dark chocolate bar with caramel and black sea salt. Now available at the UWS TJ’s. Delicious and strikes the perfect balance between sweet and salty. Also, cheap.

    2) Ritter cornflake. Available at random retailers across Manhattan (notably the Amish Market in Hell’s Kitchen.) I’m normally not into milk chocolate… but this is the best crunchy chocolate bar out there.

    3) Kinder bueno. A striking mix of hazelnut and chocolate, especially frozen. Can be found at 7-11’s and other random places. I found this while living in Bangkok three years ago and pick it up anytime I see it in NYC. Fantastic indulgence that Americans just couldn’t make.
