Bold and blown out

Inspired by the fashionistas roaming the streets of Lincoln Square during Fashion Week and all the resulting on-the-street fashion blog posts, I decided to do my own little style documentation. It felt a touch conceited, but as one of my favorite bloggers, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere, said recently in a WSJ interview: “If I have an outfit that I think is particularly cute, I want to share that.” Amen sister. So I was feeling good about my look so why the heck not try it out? Photos courtesy of my lovely friend Sophie and the Camera+ app. xx

Pairing of some of my wardrobe stalwarts: Michael Kors coyote fur trim coat (massive character flaw… I don’t do faux), Zara black pleated crêpe skirt, Spanx opaque tights (hands down the best, well worth the $30), Calvin Klein Olive pumps (super comfortable gel sole)… more below.

Eddie Bauer chambray button-down, Kenneth Jay Lane oversize gold link chain necklace, DryBar ‘Straight Up’ blow-out (such a treat… the day I can afford a membership will be heaven) and to top it all off and stick to my promise of COLOR, I put on Nars lipstick in Heat Wave.
