Crack is whack. Not gelato.

{ Blog Swapping Series, Part 6: }

On Friday you enjoyed our blog swap with Girly Obsessions for a sixth time. Ash shared her love for mixing cocktails… but don’t forget to enjoy our obsessions. Check out my post, where I tell you all about my obsession with Ciao Bella Gelato… it should be considered a drug because I just can’t stop. Time to close the freezer and step away from the refreshing, wonderfully creamy desserts.

There’s craving dessert… and then there’s wanting gelato. There’s getting off the highway and running red lights in order to get to Whole Foods that much faster. As well as tripping over my own feet as I run up the stairs to my third floor walk up in order to bust open the carton and stuff it in my face. Not to mention not even getting home first and just eating it in the car. Point is: I sound like a crack whore. But no… I’m just a gelato whore.

It started as a closeted thing. Something I did quietly on the sly but then it turned into something that I fully own. I love gelato and I am perfectly comfortable with my problem. It’s great by itself, turned into an Affogato by putting into a cup of coffee, with apple pie, if chocolatey with Kahlua, if fruity with tequila, on a stick, on a cone, or simply in a bowl where it’s perfect all by itself.

Of course it doesn’t hurt that Ciao Bella comes in an adorable cup in bright solid colors. It looks like something I would decorate my apartment with. Or wear for that matter. In fact, it looks like JCrew’s interpretation of dessert. And how could that not be perfect? The flavor names don’t hurt either. Tahitian vanilla? Blackberry cabernet? Honey toasted pecan? Key lime graham? Hello. Yum.

Be a lady. Please share your thoughts.
