Time to get cozy

Last night brought the NYC area’s first snow. The flakes were huge, the road was sloppy and I forgot mittens for cleaning off the car. That and my choice of footwear left a lot to be desired. Trekking around in my new Cole Haans in the snow was less than pleasurable. All day my mind was on getting home and being warm and toasty, preferably on the comfort of my couch.

Warm and toasty also means I want to be as cuddly as possible. Cashmere leggings, fleece socks, big wool sweaters. I want to feel like I am literally being embraced by my couch. There’s no better way to complete the couch hug than enveloping yourself with a perfect throw. You can never have too many… whether they are wool tartan, chenille, faux fur, or cashmere knits.

They also make for the ideal gift for hard-to-shop-for friends and family. Everyone loves a nice throw blanket (and some stores like C.Wonder and Mark and Graham even let you monogram). Now that I’ve said this I hope I may be unwrapping some under the tree. Hint, hint Sis.
